Diy Pvc Boat Lift

After building a mini electric boat i wanted to be able to store it on a small floating dock. the boat weighs around 120 pounds with the batteries and motor attached and was a bit heavy for one. Qty: pvc cleaner and glue (f or pvc piling shell) qty: 12, 1” long #10 screws per piling seam (a ny type metal will be fine). miscellaneous 2x4 wood, screws/nails to make dock mounted piling guide (o ptional).. Apply the pvc glue to the outside of the pvc pipe and the inside of the pvc cap. place the cap on the end of the pipe. allow at least 20 seconds for the pvc glue to set. repeat this step to glue the end caps on the other pvc pipes..

A quick trip to lowe's and a little elbow grease, and you've got yourself a homemade boat lift. the most simple designs are often the best. when you don't need a heavy-duty hydraulic lift, or just don't want to fool with electronics and motors to get your craft out of the water, a boat lift is a great way to go.. /r/diy should not be your first stop for your question. all help request must go in "self posts" or the stickied thread at the top of the subreddit. if you are sharing your finished diy project, please explain how it was done. consider putting the finished photo first, however this is not a requirement.. Your boat lift is now complete. bring your boat along the pier or dock walkway and attach the boat falls to eyebolts located on the rear and front of the boat. using the falls, you can raise the boat onto the davits, protecting it from water-related damage..
