Obviously you have been watching other cardboard boats before going on --the inspiration shows-- and you have improved upon them, but i am also surprised that you --or the other guys who built paper boats-- do not treat cardboard the same way plywood is treated; i.e. you guys do not design paper boats with the same criteria used for plywood boats..
Make these paper boats out of any piece of paper any place at any time (i remember making these origami boats out of my bus ticket, whilst waiting to arrive at my destination)! make them huge or make them small.. The origami boat is actually very simple to make. all you need is a rectangular piece of paper, so any 8.5x11 copy or lined paper will do. then follow the instructions and pictures carefully and you'll be able to make your own origami boat that floats.. Step 4: bring up edges of boat. step 4: fold out the edges of the paper so that the cone in the center sticks up, add volume to your boat by sticking your fingers into this cone. and folding up the edges around it..
