Boat Roof Lining Material






What is a boat interior lining? as the name suggests, boat interior lining is lining for the interior of your boat. this includes the roof, walls, floor and other surfaces such as the dash. this is different from the marine upholstery. the materials which are commonly used for lining the interior are. vinyl, macro suede, and; carpet.. Even in the average uk summer condensation can be a problem in a small boat. the most suitable insulation material is a closed cell foam (the sort of foam used for sleeping mats obtainable in camping shops) as it doesn’t absorb water. lining: there are specialist suppliers of lining materials (eg hawke house ltd).. Currently the forward cabin (trident 24) is lined with a lovely (not) dark purple polyester carpet on sides/walls and roof. also have cushions/mattress to recover. looking to replace wall&roof linings and covers. guessing that the materials needs to be synthetic to cope with possible water ingress. open to suggestions..
