Homemade Pontoon Boat Pvc Pipe

This video was uploaded from an android phone.. Diy pvc pipe pontoon boat - homemade boat - in 1 day back. follow. my homemade pontoon boat! this was the first boat ever made but definitely not the last. i prefer to call this my pontoon boat but many have referred to it as a raft...probably because i built this boat in florida back in 2002. this boat. Pvc pipe boat. naturally, pvc pipe, a true maker wonder-material, has a place on this list. the simple idea behind this craft was to build a frame out of pipe. the pipe was then covered with a heavy-duty tarp to keep water out, and a piece of plywood was added on the bottom to distribute the passenger load..

Draw or find a pontoon boat plan that you feel comfortable building. write a material checklist, including pvc, for all the supplies needed to complete the project. record how much of each material is needed to complete the pontoon boat. select a location, preferably near to water, to build the pontoon boat.. Pvc is heavy for what you get...for pontoons you want to have half or less of the pontoon submerged. your pontoon will displace pi r^2 x (360 inches) or 3.14 x 144 x 360 = 162777.6 cu in/1728 cu in per cu ft = 94.2 cu ft/2 = 47.1 cu ft x 64 lbs/cu ft = 3014.4 lbs. The options here include, but are not limited to, using schedule 80 3 ⁄ 4 inch (205.1 cm) pvc pipe with glued slip joint couplings for posts and rails, using metal pipe posts with rope or cable rails, or building a wood handrail framed up from and screwed to the deck..
