Draw or find a pontoon boat plan that you feel comfortable building. write a material checklist, including pvc, for all the supplies needed to complete the project. record how much of each material is needed to complete the pontoon boat. select a location, preferably near to water, to build the pontoon boat.. Sure it is possible to build a boat with plastic pipe. at the hardware store you get white pvc or black abs pipe. the abs is for drains and is larger. if you go to a pipe supply house you can get stuff up to 30 inches in diameter. all this pipe can be glue welded with a fast drying glue specially made for the type of pipe you are using..

Re: pvc sewer pipe for pontoons i worked with pvc sch 40 and 80 pipe for 20 years making filtration and irrigation systems, the stuff can be very strong, but if it gets a sharp hit it can shatter instantly. while it could work, i don't think i would trust it. the pe culvert looks interesting..
